About Instructor
Dominique Barry (he/him) is a multi-sport athlete (including climbing and surfing, snowboarding), climbing coach, diversity advocate, and youth mentor based in California. Dom believes “Diversity shows others what is possible. Oftentimes, if you don’t see yourself in a certain space, you believe you’re not supposed to be there, which couldn’t be further from the truth. In some cases it can be seen as life or death if someone doesn’t have [a sport as an] outlet, and all they have is exposure to something that’s detrimental to their well-being.” Dom is proudly supported by La Sportiva, Arcteryx, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. , and Therabody.
