About the Event
Join us for a day of giving back to the crag & community! Give back to the crag and community in this special mentorship trail day with local youth-based non-profit organizations. Learn about land and crag conservation while building connections with local Chattanooga youths. This conservation day is supported by The Access Fund.
Blk Out Fest volunteers will be completing the first major planting project in the new food forest. Food forests combine the layered ecology of a forest with the social and productive functions of vegetable gardens and orchards; ours will feature rows of fruit and nut trees surrounded by "guilds" of edible plants. On Sunday, we'll be planting 10 fruit trees along with sage, strawberries, radishes, onions, and garlic.
Help grow and develop a food forest near Old Wauhatchie Boulders. If you have your own work gloves, please bring them.
