New to climbing outdoors or a little rusty? This workshop will teach you how to safely navigate outdoor bouldering before going outdoors. Learn about Leave No Trace for bouldering, spotting technique, pad placement and climbing safety.

Instructor Bio

Marian (they/she) is an expert on gear through working for companies like REI and Rock and Snow. Marian noticed the lack of diversity in the outdoor industry and wants to take up space and help those who have been underrepresented.

Marian is a mentor with Kinship Climbing Collective, a local NY leader for Brown Girls Climb, cofounder of the organization Rise Outside, and an AMGA certified Single Pitch Instructor.

Note: This is a ground school workshop, there will be no rock climbing during this training.Ā
