BLK OUT FEST

First Outdoor Company + Lookout Mountain Conservancy presents the Blk Out Fest.

The Blk Out Fest is a climbing + outdoor festival centering and celebrating Black excellence in rock climbing. This 3-day, 2-night festival in Chattanooga, Tennessee is designed to celebrate the accomplishments of Black athletes, entrepreneurs and creatives through film screenings, a community fellowship dinner and the open air Blk Mkt shopping experience.

This retreat-style festival is designed to provide a safe space for mental wellness & rejuvenation for Black climbers but is open to all who supports increasing diversity in climbing. Our commitment to climate action includes local shuttle transportation, composting and an all plant-based menu.

To provide educational and informational outdoor & climbing experiences for all skill levels focused on safety and sustainability in the outdoors.

CELEBRATE

To celebrate Black climbers and entrepreneurs through the fellowship dinner, Black Excellence Talk and vendors.

CULTIVATE

Cultivate a dedication to mental & physical wellness, commitment to climate action and community-building through during the Crag Kickback & Boulder Buddies.
